The church is a place wherever Christains gather and a home church does what it says on the tin: it's church in someones home. It's a place for people to know and be known, to love and be loved. We understand that central to being a christian is figuring out life together with other people. So at Greenwich Vineyard one of the main ways we're seeing community evolve is through smaller groups that gather during the week.
We're not a bunch of perfect people who've got life all figured out, we still need to grow and ask questions. Many questions. But we also need others to help us when we mess things up. A home church is a place to learn what it actually looks like to follow Christ, studying scripture, then living it out. It's people's vision and commitment to doing this together that makes them what they are.
Each home church is unique, the people who make them up are unique and they vary in size from around 7-14 people, some bigger, some smaller. To get involved is at the heart of why they gather and there's always room for anyone to belong.
